Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Problem: No luck uploading .syx to DTX module.

Equip / software;

Win2000, P4 1.4, 768mb, Audigy Gamer w/joystick port,
MIDI adapter cable w/ op.isolator (PC out to DTX in, v.versa).
Audigy Audio HQ, DTXchange, Cakewalk HS 2004.

settings > sound/multimedia;
MIDI IN - SB Audigy MIDI Port.
MIDI OUT - SB Audigy MIDI Port.

~(I've tried all the other avail midi out options;MS MIDI mapper, Sw 
synth, synth A, synth B, GS Wave)

Using the steps described on www.dtxpressions.com I'm able to 
succesfully download my saved user kits from the DTX module (bulk 
dump / single kit) and save them as .syx files.

When following the steps for uploading kits to the module DTXchange 
shows "User Kit Sent!" but no change occurs at module. Module/kit are 
set to the user kit I wish to overwrite. I'm attempting to upload one 
of JT's .syx files to my module kit #55, but the kit settings/name 
dont change.

It seems pretty straight forward - what am I missing?

PS; selector switch on back of DTX module set to "MIDI".
