Mike, I'm in the process of "converting" one of my acoustic kits to triggered
mesh heads. Using Pearl mesh heads for 14" floor tom, 12" rack tom &
14" snare...Evan's mesh heads (white) for my 18" kick. Building my own
triggers using the very detailed plans and user feedback available from
LOGIZTIX PADZ
http://www.logiztix.com/stix/ I will use a combination
of acoustic and electronic cymbals, including a small pad fro advancing
through kit presets on the fly.
I joined the Logiztix group for $20 (us$) in order to get access to
the members section...well worth it. My goal is to have a traditional look
& feel for my kit (early '70's Gretsch) yet access to a wide variety
of sounds for stage and rehearsal. It will be a bonus to not have a cluster
of mic stands around. Some of our gigs have small stages, so size (and
volume) matter. I'll let you know how it all goes...

hi, i'm looking at getting a DTXpress, but want
to keep my acoustic
kick and snare, but with them triggered. any ideas? i've been looking
at filling them with foam and triggering them, but what triggers
are
best. i've also considering using pearl mesh heads and i've heard
of
the Hart Dynamics ADC. any comments, and does anyone know where
to
get these in the UK? thanks , Mike
