Difference between two products

Difference between two products

Hi,

I'm on the market for a Pintech ConcertCast snare and I wonder
what's the difference between those two items at Musician's Friend:
<A

Concertcast Snare Pad (sold for 129$)</a>
and

9125145/g=perc/search/detail/base_id/45231">Pintech Dual-Zone
Concertcast Snare Pad (sold for 99$)</a>

Is it the same thing? How come there's a 30$ price difference?
(if the links goes wrong try a search for CONCERTCAST on the
Musician's Friend website. You'll see 2 concertcast dualzone snare...

Thanks

Yoav

Yoav,

The ConcertCast Silentech dual-zone snare, a mesh-head design, is
more expensive; the ConcertCast plain has mylar heads on it and is
slightly different in design. It's not as quiet.

Ok Thanks.
But is it possible to switch heads later if I buy the plain
ConcertCast? How much is a mesh-head anyway?

Yoav,

Pintech used to convert the ConcertCast pads to the Silentech design
at their facility for a fee. It's not as simple as switching heads.
Why not send an email to to Brian LaRue, who runs the company; he's a
member of this group.
