Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi Everybody!

This has been a great weekend!  I picked up my first pay check in months plus 
my last full check of unemployment, and yesterday, I was able to go out and 
get the drum set stuff out of layaway.  I brought it home, went shopping for 
clothes, and I started working on the drum set in the evening.  I took the 
set apart, cleaned the drums and hardware, put replacement heads on them, and 
tuned up the drums.

But oh!  There was a catch, or a couple of them, really.  Turns out the shop 
didn't include the snare stand and a cymbal stand.  I was like, gggrrrrrr, 
what happened?  So I called them today and picked up the remaining stuff.  I 
also went and got an extra cymbal stand.

Anyway, it sounds great, and I actually have two drum sets set up in my room, 
leaving not much room...  I'm happy to have made it thus far, and hopefully 
within a year, I'll be able to be ready to gig with someone (as I'll have the 
drum set AND the skills).

Next weekend is when I pay the car off and start to look for things to fix on 
the car.  I hope that the temp assignment continues for at least 2-3 more 
weeks.
