Pintech CK-V Kick Drum Trigger??

Pintech CK-V Kick Drum Trigger??

2003-10-25 by jeffrey_chiu18

Hello,

It has been a long time that I have not posted a message; however, I
am a regular reader of all posts. I am still a beginner in drumming
(1 year) Even though I know that the newer version of DTXpress is
released, I am not a hi-tech follower anyhow.

I am looking at the Pintech CK-V Kick Drum Trigger, is this
compatiable with DTXpress? If it does, how hard to tweak it to
perform well with the set? I need some advice. Thanks.

Jeffrey

Jeffrey:

I have the Pintech CK-V. You'll find it very compatible with the
DTXpress and very easy to set up. You'll also find it a joy to play.
By the looks of the recent catalog photos, it seems that Pintech has
developed a new stabilzer from the version I have (early 2003 model).
Extra stabilty would be my only suggestion for the CK-V.
Once you get it, give me a shout and I'll let you know what settings
I'm using.

Jeffrey,

I fully agree with Stephen...the CK-V is totally compatable with the
DTXP, super easy to tweak to your preference and gives you a lot more
real estate to work with for double pedals than the stock Yamaha.
Although the version I have is probably the same as Stephen's...two
large BD like spurs to stabilize the back (newer ones have a solid
backplate) it's still a stable set-up even if your a
pounder....BTW...I got mine at a great price as an "non factory
sealed" purchase from American Musical Supply...shop around...you'll
find one on ebay etc if you don't want to go retail...
