Gee, I just stopped by this morning to make sure that no spam infiltrated the board overnite, and I see all this activity--from OGD's info to posts from new members. Great for a Sunday morning. The problem with the MS100DR is that it's an unknown quantity, complicated by the fact that we don't know what you'd expect it to do- -amplify your practices at home (alone or with band) or serve as your main PA on stage. In the latter case, except under rare conditions (small venue, few people, low volume), it, like the Roland PM-3, would work live only as a personal monitor behind the PA. I confess to a slight bias against Roland (based on its pricing and its position in the market), but all things considered, I'd lean toward the Yamaha, which has similar enough specs. As far as your price quotes go, an American price for DTXpressII and Yamaha monitor would be about $1600, which translates to about 940 British. The DTXpressII with Roland would cost about $1700 here, which is close to 1000 British. So, based on a Yank's perspective, these aren't particularly good deals, but someone would have to know the British market to be sure. And with the DTXpressIII aronund the corner, waiting may not be a bad idea, especially if you have the money for the SP verion, pictured at our site, which has all of the changes and improvements. Ed
