Let me ask a couple of easy questions: Have you shut the module off
for a minute or so and turned it on again? Whether you're listening
through headphones or an amp, have you checked the cable connections?
If am amp, is the phenomenon duplicated through phones, and vice
versa? Do you have another power supply that you can swap for the one
that you're using--a universal that you can set exactly to the
Yammie's specs (12V; I don't remember the tip mV or polarity)? It's
extremely rare that one of these things should go south on you so
soon, if ever, but it's possible.
