Much good info throughout the posts... and at this associated site.
http://www.gihe.demon.co.uk/DTXpressions
Particularly the Tips and Tricks section, though it will make more
sense once you have a kit to experiment with...
Some quick answers:
inputs 1 to 8 are capable of dual-trigger inputs, provided the rim
is of the FSR type like the Yamaha TP80S
input 9/10 will accept a dual piezo input such as a pintech snare
( you'll need to "re-map" your inputs.)
all pads provided are single input type only. (I bought a TP80S for
my snare pad.)
inputs are all capable of two voices layered: eg.:Ride and Bell cymbal.
or Snare and Rim crossfaded.
one can set up a brush sound but it is triggered by striking (not
brushing) the pad.

I am looking at buying one of these sets and
would like to know if
dual or double triggered pads can be used (mainly for rim shots
on
the snare and for a ride on the cymbal)? Is it possible to do cymbal
chokes? Also can you get a brush style off the snare settings?
I have
a lot of questions and really no one to help me at the store.
Any
advise or comments would greatly be appreciated. I'm new
to drumming
and want to get the best bang for the buck.
