Velocity Sensetivity

Velocity Sensetivity

2003-12-10 by limelightyyz

Hey,

Is there any way to turn the velocity sensetivity OFF on a DTXpress
module? I'm using NI battery as a smapler and I would like to have
all samples triggered at the same volume, so i need the DTXpress to
send the midi velocities all as 127(full volume).

Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks alot,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I don't know anything about NI Battery, but in the absence of anyone
else volunteering any suggestions, two strategies spring to mind.
Neither is exact, and neither actually defeats velocity sensitivity;
both simply manipulate it. You could try setting a high gain and a
high minimum velocity and/or choosing "Easy" as your Trigger Setup--
one maximizing the velocity of hits and the other tending to even out
their dynamic range. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.
