DTXPRESS III INFO

2003-12-18 by jmascharka

For all you who are wondering. Here's the info on the dtxpress III
as translated from the Japanese brochure. The brochure was printed
in Oct '03.

The dtxpress III started selling in Japan on Nov 30, 2003. The
prices are as follows.

DTXPIIISTD 128,000 Yen ($1220 American)
DTXPIIISP 185,000 Yen ($1762 American)

This is without kick pedal and throne. With both of these it is an
additional 12,000 Yen ($115 American).

There will be a first year sale schedule quantity of 5000 units.

The DTXPIIISTD is similar to the DTXPIISTD except the pads are TP65
vice TP60. And the module is a DTXP3J. I will get into the
DTXPIIISP for the rest of this, since this is new and has the most
upgrades.

The DTXPIIISP consists of the following:

The RHH130 hi-hat installs on a hi-hat stand. It has a sensor in the
high hat clutch and one somatotype in the round rubber pad of 13"
and can adjust the open condition of the top and bottom. Also the
weight correstonds to the rod close to the genuine high hat. It is a
dual zone pad.

The tone generator module had various improvements. The treble
quality centers cymal sound the ripple mark and pre-setting voice
were added, and the real timbre was actualized. With song section of
95 tunes, a new tune was added, by the fact that the CD player is
connected to the AUX terminal, choosing favorite tune from stock CD,
session (combination playing) also is possible to do.

The rack is a new design with a silver color. The alumite processing
makes sliding of the attachments difficult. With the cymbals
increased it has added strength.
