some great news and a wish of a merry christmas to all the members on the group

2003-12-25 by otacon28us

first off i just wanted to wish everyone on this group a very merry
christmas ,and a safe new years in advance .. this place has always
felt like a second home to me . even though i haven't had alot of
free time in the past few months to run on here much. this is one of
the places that is very dear to heart ... for those of you that
wanted me to let you guys know about my latest musical quest that i
have been heavily pursuing . check out the following :

i'm going on tour (what a christmas present eh??)

just wanted to share that i ended up getting the tour with the
band "tangerine" that i have been working with painstakingly for
weeks now to get all of their songs down .. it was made official
yesterday(christmas eve) that i will be hitting the road with them
on the 8th. of january . here's the gig line-up so far for january :

1-08-04 C' est what - Toronto Canada
1-09-04 Rex theatre - Pittsburgh Pa.
1-11-04 The luna lounge - NYC
1-17-04 Wise fools pub - chicago
1-24-04 The Rosebud - Pittsburgh Pa.
1-29-04 Tribeca Rock club - NYC

more dates are anticipated for january but that's the list so far

the band has played about 70 shows this year, and did around 50 shows
in only the second half of the year in 2002 . some people may have
seen from some of my posts on here that i'm more of a rock
drummer ,and i even play around with some jazz fusion stuff , and
even though this bands music is different that what i have played in
the past.. i find it very comfortable to play . anyone interested in
checking out the bands website can check it out at the following :

http://www.1tangerine.com/shows.html

here's the page for the base of shows they have played in the last
year and a half :

tony will be updating the website soon i'm sure, but the whole band
has just recently been composed of new members other than the
founder/singer/songwriter/and rythym guitarist (yes this description
is all the same guy) tony is the only one left from the 2003 touring
line-up for the band, and has his goals set up high for doing another
great year of touring with his totally new line-up in 2004 ...
anyone whos interested in more details keep checking the calender on
the bands website shows will be added shortly after they are
booked .. and if anyone from on here is from around any of these
places it would be great to see ya' at a show . i think it would be
cool to meet some of my fellow drummers from on here,so if you're in
the area pop down at one of the gigs ..

i really hope everyone has a great christmas, and you guys ,and gals
get alot of great new drum gear .. santa has been good to this
drummer so far,and the day ain't over yet ... i'm not sure that
anything else that could top this for me anyways ...
