Edrummers' Wish List Revisted

Edrummers' Wish List Revisted

2004-03-07 by emf

Sundays are usually slow on this board, so I'm willing to risk
repeating myself; it's for a good cause. As it is, I've set up a bi-
weekly message reminding members about the original Edrummers' Wish
List post now located in the Files section and one that greets each
new member. But I want to stress its importance again. It is not just
an idle exercise. I have an invitation from Pintech to collect
responsible suggestions for new products or to add flesh to others
already in consideration. It doesn't matter if you aren't using
Pintech products now. We're all here ostensibly under the Yamaha
banner, but if you have needs that Yamaha isn't meeting so far as
components, electronics, hardware, etc. are concerned, let me or the
board know under this subject heading. I, for one, don't want to
waste this opportunity.

I know that this board has intelligent (well, for drummers, anyway)
motivated members, many of whom have made legitimate informal
suggestions in the past. Kin_doc had the initiative to produce a text
editor that many of you wanted and will happily begin using. The rest
of us can make active statements, too; we don't have to be passive
recipients of what other people kindly offer. I wouldn't shoot my
mouth off if I didn't have good reason to do so. Longwinded as I can
be, it's not in my nature to push something that doesn't seem
worthwhile. Don't find yourself in the same old position of
saying, "I wish they'd have included a food processor with that
module. Don't they realize that musicians need to eat?" At least give
yourself the satisfaction of having tried.
