I need clamps! Can I get them online somewhere?

I need clamps! Can I get them online somewhere?

2004-03-08 by wtrvac

I broke a clamp today...crap.

It is the stock plastic kind that goes on the main upright and
connects to the pipe/tube that holds the "floor" toms.

I "fixed" it by taking a clamp off another part so that I could them
use at church this morning.

However, now I would like to replace all the plastic clamps with the
metal ones.

I would like to know where to get the metal clamps. This particular
clamp has one opening facing down and the other side facing at a 90
degree angle to it. (Perfect for what I needed to do)

You can remove the clamp without having to slide it on and off.
I "splits" so to speak.

My description sounds horrible but does anyone know what I'm talking
about? Should I take a pic and post the link somewhere?

Maybe someone could recommend some good clamps to me also.

Many thanks!

Ken in Kona

Hey Ken,

Gibralter makes metal clamps, as well as Pintech and others. Go to
drumbalaya.com and check the hardware or just send an email via the
address given on the site to Ed Morin or the staff. Someone will set
you up with what you need.

Those "splitting" clamps are generally referred to as "hatched". As
well as at Drumbalaya, you can generally find some on eBay from time
to time. If you go that way, watch out for the postage costs - these
clamps are heavy, and you can lose what you'd save through high
shipping charges.

You can check out the clamps online at Gibraltar's site:

Don't be tempted by the "road series" clamps - they're more
expensive, and you don't need them for e-drums. The "power rack"
clamps are more than adequate.
