For playing with other people, would this hooked up to my DTXpress
suffice? or am I on the wrong track.....

Rob,

This Kustom PA should be serviceable if you'll be playing in a
relatively small studio (I'm assuming that it belongs to the studio
already; I wouldn't recommend buying it without getting more
information). I would start at a modest volume, and edge down if you
notice any strain in the speakers. But in that space, you should do
all right. You might have to adjust the balance of your cymbals,
toms, and snare; headphone levels rarely translate perfectly live.
But in that self-contained space, your e-drums should cooperate
pretty well, though if this studio is set up for recording, the kit
might sound dry. Be prepared to put the on-board reverb into play.
