Yamaha DTXpress VS. DTXpress Special Edition

Yamaha DTXpress VS. DTXpress Special Edition

2004-04-12 by mr_devil_murdock

Hello,

I just joined the group and I have one question I hope somebody can
offer me some advice on. I recently ordered a DTXpress III drum set
and was wondering if it would be worth cancelling it and ordering
the DTXpress Special edition instead?

Thanks for the info ...

Devin

Hi Devin,

If money's not an issue, the cymbal package is certainly better, and
the kit as a whole is an obvious step up. What specifically made you
wonder?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply and information. I am flexible on price but is the difference in the cymbals worth $500.00?

Thank You,

Devin M

Devin,

For some poeple the cymbals might be enough to justify the cost
(personally, I think that these new round cymbals are just what the
doctor order for this kit). But you also get a curved rack, a throne,
a kick pedal, and a hi hat stand for the new hi hat cymbal--easily
justifying the price increase.
