problems with dtx3 and a request

2004-06-13 by bizarrius69

i just purchased dtxpress III from musiciansfriend and i have a
little problem that annoys me alot (:P), after i reset to defaults my
kick drum started loosing hits, like my pedal rebounded on it and
made another trigger and lowered the volume of the first hit, is it a
problem with the sensitivity? cause when i do that with a stick on
other pads (2 hits on the pad, the first one hard and the second one
weak) i get the same thing, what do i have to change?

also i NEED a setup for my toms, i dont seem to get nice sound out of
my toms... anyone made a kit that sounds rocky to alternative? i like
the toms that aren't very tight, anyone can suggest something? i have
a concert in 5 days and i dont have tom sounds! plus i need a hihat
that is more thrashy and noisy when its closed, any ideas PLEASE help

Thanks in advance

People with more experience may have better suggestions, but try
tweaking the self rejection parameter until then;)

I like the Room1 (75) and Jazz (20) toms, but don't know if that is
the sound you are looking for.

Keith.
