Re: [DW8000] DW-6000/8000 extra waveforms mod

2016-09-28 by F.Manduca

Hi there! I also have a MEX8000 memory expander, so I could put a lot of custom presets, with the only effort to remember wich ones of the two new waveforms I have to choose for each of them ... :-) . Hope there will be really the chance to have the mod in future, with a personal customizing waveforms choice, and maybe, who knows, a ring modulator board inside..... ;-) . Maybe on some units they were. -------------------------------------------- On Mon, 9/26/16, Anders anders@... This makes installing this kind of mod a much bigger deal than simply unplugging chips and plugging a cable into the socket or something. I wonder if people would really be happy with this mod long-term, since the expanded waveform selection cannot be saved with the patch, or controlled by MIDI. Also, there seem to be lots more DW-8000's around than DW-6000's, whereas the 6000 seems a better candidate for the mod due to it's more limited waveform selection. Bob
