Re: [DW8000] OT: roland sbx-10 sync box tempo problem

Having not used an SBX10 before, I might be completely
wrong but it sounds like a problem with the internal
clock. Does the sbx gets midi in ? If so, try clocking
it with a midi clock (like the arpegiator of a
dw8000).

please bear with the off topic post. i've run out of
options and i've
gotten good help here with my 8000, so i figure i may
as well ask.
my newly acquired sbx-10 has a tempo problem. when i
got it, one of
the pads(for the tempo knob) on the pcb was lifted. i
desoldered,
scraped away some of the trace and resoldered, plus i
soldered a short
piece of wire from the terminal to the next contact
down the line,
just to be sure. still nothing. i brought it to a tech
who tested it
and said the pot itself was fine. so the problem is
somewhere else.
the tap button works, so i know the tempo function is
working, but
there's a problem somewhere between it and the knob.
any thoughts?
does anyone have a service manual? i've found a couple
sites that have
one for sale, but have not received a response.
thanks,
shayne
