Korg DW8000, Mono/Poly, MS-20...

Hello-
One of the things you'd have to deal with in this scenario is the fact that 
the DW has EIGHT filters & envelopes -- an external audio input to voice 1 
would only sound when voice 1 was played, according to the note assignment 
algorithm in the synth's firmware.  It might be possible to feed the 
external audio into all eight channels & put the synth into mono mode;  but 
with the current low cost of DW8000s, it might just be easier to reomove 
the voice board from a non-working or damaged synth & construct your own 
device, centered around the filters & delay.
