Hi,
Recently bought and fixed a dead DW-8000. It has 850710 code version.
Would like to update it to the latest if possible. Does anyone have an EPROM
binary file? Have not found one on the web yet.
Thanks,

There you are too! :)
Have you tried Music Technologies here?:

Thanks. I will put it on my web site in case anyone else is looking for it. I heard that at some point they fixed a MIDI problem with notes getting stuck on. But Yash said it's only when the DW-8000 is used as the MIDI master. Anyway, it will be nice to have the final version. [1 Attachment] [Attachment(s) from John Leimseider included below] Hi Bob, here's version 12, which is probably the final. If you want to post it, that's fine. I have no idea what they changed… Let me know if it doesn't open… JL

Correct, that's what I read: only a fix for note stuck ON when DW-8000 used as a master keyboard.
This said, I've heard a stuck note when using it as a slave keyboard through MIDI too. On the other hand, it is not too bothersome and doesn't happen often enough to feel I need to use a newer firmware.
Thanks for sharing, John. It could go in the Files section here as well.

Hi,
Just fixed a dead DW-8000, but it still has some broken keys.
At ebay prices, six keys would be rather steep. Anyone
got a parts unit with a bunch of keys on it? Thanks in
advance.

I see some for $3 - $15 a piece on Ebay & Syntaur is selling them for $10 each. If you need the $3 keys, that wouldn't be to bad. Some times a "parts only" DW6000/80000 pops up on Ebay for cheap. Good luck.
