Using an external midi controller and external sound module

2005-02-16 by chesapeake35

Here's a fun one .....

I'd like to use a midi foot controller (Behringer FCB1010) to cause
the DW-8000 to send an OSC control change (I think) to a Roland JV-
1010 sound module.

I'm want to use this to cause the JV-1010 to start and stop
the "leslie" sound on JV-1010 organ patches. I can do this manually
by pushing the OCS joystick, but this is momentary and will hold the
leslie only as long as I hold the joystick. (Other keyboard midi
controllers use a wheel to send this control change to the JV-1010.)
I'd like to be able to initiate this change from the fFCB1010
footswitch.

The problem seems to be that changes from the footswitch are
recognized by the DW-8000, but are not passed on to the JV-1010.
Using the midi thru doesn't work 'cause that only seems to affect
note messages sent from the footswitch ...not modify the tones being
initiated by the Korg.

Any ideas? Is the Korg capable of merging the data?

Thanks
