Dead DW-8000

2002-09-03 by valekvanaden@aol.com

Last night, i powered up my DW (which has the DW Turbo installed). and it displayed "8 0 0 8" which is normal... and then it loaded a patch with some parameters made up of symbols instead of numbers. and it would not play any of the sounds except 3 or so, which were completely absurd sounding and certainly not what i had saved in its memory. the were just noise, or pitch that slid when you pressed a key...

is this my first dead battery?

I have not experienced a dead battery in the DW-8000 yet myself but I
have heard of one and it sounded a lot like these symptoms.
