has anyone used Ruggeri's DW-EDIT with an Angel City Turbo-equiped
dw8000?

i cannot get that editor to work on my XP PC or my win95 PC... it
installed properly and opens properly, and i can open patches. . .but
i can't transfer them to the dw8000. the midi test note turns on and
off properly, so i know the midi is properly connected. and
parameters 84, 85 and 86 are all properly set...

any ideas?

no. . . i wish i could get it to work. . . i don't know what could possibly
be wrong. now i'm just loading and saving patches with wavefile tape-out data
dumps. but obviously i'd prefer the ability to organize and build banks of
specific sounds.

please let me know if you have any insight into this problem of mine.

This pain sounds very familiar to what I went through when I changed
from an older PC with Win 98 to a new one with Win XP plus a new
soundblaster board.

Before I try to resurrect what I did, I have to ask: is this what you
did? New PC, new soundboard, same software (and, yes, I have the Angel
city mod)?

Contact me off line at my e-mail address if you wish.
