Hi! I just purchased a DW8000. If I hold four notes simultaneously, then the fifth note played turns off the first note I already played (in POLY1 or POLY2 mode). It seems that my DW8000 has only 4 notes polyphony. Is this possible? Or am I just dreaming? Any ideas? Thanks, Jussi

One possibility is that this unit has the Turbo board installed, and is set to either split or layered operation (this would result in only 4 voices). The Turbo manual is in the files section.... ~G At 11:20 AM 12/27/2005, you wrote:

Hi, Jussi! Congratulations for getting your DW8000. If you haven't yet, try checking if MIDI feedback loop occurred. When MIDI echo back is sent to the keyboard you're playing, it reduces the polyphony. Best, Sealed Deep Synthesis Page: info and .mp3 sound examples http://homepage.mac.com/synth_seal/html/

Unplugging the midi input fixes the problem. This happens always when I'm loading a whole bank of sounds to my DW8000 via midi. jussi

I agree. This is an unfortunate consequence of layering patches. But having a turbo board is great! Win some. Lose some.
