arpeggiator on strike.....

so from what I hear this is a common problem with this synth.... out of no where you power up and the arppegiator just doesn't work. I hate to sound so technically retarded, but is this repairable? and if so....how should I go about getting it fixed? thanks so much to anyone who can shed some light on this for me. -bree
