Wouldn't it be useful to describe what the different paper settings 
could have been?

What you observe is more related to ink absorption by the coating. 
Humidity in the studio could affect it. As it happens in the highlights 
I doubt it is the ink amount related to another media preset choice. You 
are sure it is the same paper?
