Lew, Do you have your printer on an Epson stand or on a rock solid table? I f you have an Epson printer on a stand the need to gently remind the ink particles to stay floating, shaken, is less of a planned event. If however, it sits on a bench, or table top, the need to remove the carts and re instill in them the chaos of being mixed, then the great , shake every once in a while comes into play. Changing the media seeing will indeed change the ink output. That is why you need to use the right media setting used to make a profile when using it to print. Changes in humidity of paper can cause the problems you describe. It is possible that you seen have a slight clogged nozzle, If it is repeatable after resetting to same paper configuration and after a nozzle check, you may have a density change in your ink lines.
