Keith, I didn't do the coating but they did. It is silica based, they told me. They were pretty closed mouthed about that part but I know they would welcome you at the mill. I also studied Japanese at Sophia. If you get ready to go, let me know and I can introduce you to the right folks there. I have some prints in their collection...had a very nice show in their museum.
