Bonnie,
I have the Power Look lll which is very similar.. They were actually not bad 
scanners.. You'll need the optional lid for doing transparencies and negs with 
the light source in it. If you don't have that you can track one down on eBay..
They aren't as good as other options for scanning but for free maybe worth a go 
..
