Digital BW, The Print

I have been able to get QTR to print well on uncoated Bristol Paper and some nice textured water color paper with the stock Epson matte black. Can anyone advise me of which single black matte ink (Carbon) I can use with the least problem for clogs? Also, at this stage the single black matte printing is acceptable. I would like to use a carbon ink as you recommend. I'd like to order some. Are these refillable carts? Or do I need a CIS? I've been googling this all day but haven't pinned down what to order.

Any advice would be appreciated.
