I just deleted 12 OT posts. It is not OK to start long off topic discussions, just because you apologize for it. "DigitalBlackandWhite The Print" is quite specific as to what should be discussed. Even with that narrow a focus there is an enormous amount of information to cover. If a Google search was done on storage, I'm sure there is no shortage of easily obtained information. There is probably a Yahoo group that discusses it. One of the best things about this group is how "on topic" the discussions are. If you want to have detailed off topic discussions with individuals from this group, e-mail them directly. There are almost 10,000 members in this group, just because we all work on computers, it doesn't mean that anything computer related should be discussed.

Subject: [Digital BW] Re: OT: cloud storage of photo files

A couple of additional thoughts. I have multiple forms of local storage; cloud storage is one additional form of storage and has the benefit of being off-site. The cloud storage services I've looked at all have multiple backups in different locations.

The upgraded version of the Gladinet software has the ability to do a automatic once daily backup to the cloud of any files that have changed. They also have another piece of software that links to this and appears to have the ability to do real-time backups (I think). The once daily scheduled backup to the cloud sounds real interesting to me, although I haven't yet set that up.

Note: I have no relationship with Gladinet.
