I mixed up some C6b base about two months ago. The container is sitting on a work table in a second story living space. I haven't looked at it since I mixed up my inkset. I just took a look and there are large colonies of floating mold in it, some are over an inch in diameter. The base is stored in a clean mason jar with rubber banded glad wrap for a cover. In the future I'll have to add some kind of biocide to the base.
