Digital BW, The Print

I've read from the journals that with a new 1400, one should insert the orig 
cartriges to ensure that the mach is operating perfectly. Then, if you 
satisfied,  than load the carbon-6.
(I love my 1400)

Hi folks! Just to be sure before I make a mistake:

- Is it ok to load an out-of-the-box new 1400 with carbon-6 right away, 
without ever running OEM inks ?

- Does the head-alignment procedure work well with carbon-6 (patterns 
recognizable) ?
