Yes, I'm in the same situation as you--spent a lot of money on Platinum, 
and a Pulse spectro (also gone).
However, from what I've read so far, there doesn't seem to be any 
compelling reason to change.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
