A few added things/... I'm looking deeper into this presently and can't seem to get what xrite is up too. In effect this is by no means an upgrade as I see it so far unless I'm missing something..
I realize that imaging is changing but it almost seems that they are promoting the death of a segment of it..
Anyway, regarding scanners.. it's bigger then just film. Many including me still scan originals via drum or flat bed.. additionally their will in the not distant future be no more production on the betterlight back which will increase the importance of scanning.

Subject: [Digital BW] Re: Monaco Profiler now officially dead.
Thanks for the tip on the issues, I have some questions to ask when I call them. The lack of scanner profiles will be an issue since I do still use film. The lack of CMYK black generation adjustment (not just light, medium, and heavy but real user adjustment) is a real deal killer.
I'll have to see if Profiler will run under the virtual XP that is built into Win7 pro or above, if not I'll have to do something with Virtual Box.
Since it's sort of off topic, I'll probably just update the threads on Luminous Landscape or if requested I can update here too.
