I ran into the same issue that the wide angle didn't do well. One thing I like in a B&W print is the sense of a third dimension. In a still image one way we can do this is through visual cues. The sense of depth can be triggered by having nice sharp foregrounds and backgrounds. The High Sierras and the Ownes Valley are rich environments for this subject matter and lend themselves beautifully to B&W photography. Granite and clouds, not to mention flowing steams, look very nice in B&W prints. And these are made with inks on paper. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
