Digital BW, The Print

I can understand why a bigger margin may allow for operator error (paper taped to substrate), but i dont understand why it would make a difference to whether my image prints correctly or not (see the original problem/post) ?
I'll try a bigger margin anyway to see.

Also if you set your image up in photoshop in portrait or landscape whichever way you want it  e.g your example 16 x 35in landscape as a landscape/horizontal rotation then that should just stay the same in the Print dialog window? Why do you rotate it the other way, or am I misunderstanding? If it's portrait/vertical in photoshop then it's going to be portrait/vertical in the print window preview, and vica versa, no?
