Their really isn't , to my knowledge, a good group anywhere for these..Nikon has discontinued all of their scanners. Service on these things is usually more then a replacemnt cost now. Thus I have a suggestion.. Go on eBay..do a search for LS2000.. their is a guy that does service on a few of the older models that is always out there ... The other option is to purchase another unit which may be more cost effective.. You'll have to deciede.. I'm on the Scan High End group ...a few of us have some of the Nikon items along with our regular scanners.. These scanners will get harder to get parts or get repaired as time goes on.. The LS 5000ED is now selling for more then new in most cases.. If you get stuck contact me off group.. Maybe I can help you further.

  Hello all,

  I'm having some issues with my Nikon LS-2000 scanner, more precisely, its SA-20 adapter for strips of film. I found a Yahoo! group called Nikon Coolscan5000 but it's not real active.

  Can anyone suggest a group, either Yahoo! or otherwise, with a membership as active and helpful as this one? I realize my scanner is an older model, but I'm sure many are still in use.
