My e-mail "client" software, which is Apple's "Mail", shortstops it  
before I see it and diverts it to a (normally) hidden folder called  
"Junk", although I think it wouldn't do that if Arlene were listed in  
my (Apple) "Address Book". But in that case, she could be deleted from  
it until her ISP solves her problem for her.
