Digital BW, The Print

Isn't there a setting for Generic B&W film?  I haven't used VueScan for years, but in all the film scanning software I have been using, I have never seen a curve just for FP4; my favorite B&W film.  I never cared for the FP4+ as much.

I have used the Generic curve, then modified it to fit the needs of each negative.  The canned curve is just a starting point anyway, just like the Generic curve.

XP2 is not really a normal B&W film, but a chromagenic (SP?) film.  More akin to a color film, and so different that it probably needs a special curve.  Probably the reason it is one of your choices.  I used it at one time, mostly for PR type of work.  I know that it was very different when printing on normal photographic papers, having a very long tonal range.
