Not sure how many of you got the latest Hawk Mountain newsletter, or if any of you knew this first hand, but John Edmunds has passed. From the news letter: "In Memory of Dr. John M. Edmunds It is with sorrow we note the passing of Dr. John M. Edmunds of Staffordshire, England. John was the Chief Technical Officer for Futures (Wales) Ltd., the company he founded in 1997. He was also the inventor of the "infusion" chemistry which has made possible the production of the Kernewek line of inkjet printable fabrics mentioned above. John earned a PhD. Emeritus degree from Bristol University, Bristol, England. He then spent twenty years conducting research and development in color chemistry and a subsequent ten years working in the development of inks and coatings for Futures (Wales). John was a very creative person and a technical visionary. He was expressive, engaging and energetic. He will be sorely missed. Originally from "the forest" in southern Wales, a fact he often mentioned with pride, he was living in Staffordshire, England, at the time of his death. He was 71."
