Howdy All I have for some while been using MonicoOptix xr and their software...ok...but it has never been a Wow. I am now on Mac Lion, and the software does not work...but there are several products out there that support the hardware. So I am testing...and one issue that I am finding relates to density. After going thru the drill and having what looks like a perfect neutral profile...when I do a softproof on a good QTR or other profile...the image on screen is generally not density matched. Color etc look great...but the density is off. Ideas on how I can get a better soft proof??? I believe I am doing all things right. One solution I found after making the ICC monitor profile is using the System brightness setting when looking at a proof print and visually match the two. Curious why I cannot get a perfect match with the software and hardware profiler. Am I missing something...like ambient light??? Are there profilers that take ambient light into account accurately??? Thanks Phil
