What curves do I use for UT14 inks and the Epson 1400 ?

The printer model choices are Quad 1400, Quad 1400-K6, Quad 1400-MIS.

The curve choices don't mention UT14 inks, whereas when using the 1290 printer the choices are Quad 1290-K6, and Quad 1290-UT2. Does Quad 1400-MIS therefor assume UT14 ink.

How are the various tones arrived at with QTR as unlike the 1290, there are no choices, i.e. cool, neutral, warm, sepia and carbon.

As only black ink is used in the UT14 inkset in QTR I assume the tone cannot be changed - what tone would I get using Epson Enhanced Matte.

I just wonder if Paul's profiles may be the way to go to give more control over tones.
