Dick, I've seen a couple of panoramic format books "Skyscrapers" and "Bridges" (I think the catchy titles) - but what is definitely interesting about them, compared to say "New York vertical" amongst others I'm sure, is that they are bound on the short edge. So the book must be about 9" tall, and about 4-foot wide in the case of the bridges (when opened) Makes for quite a handful - but impressive. So, the format does work, and should give you plenty of space for your title - it can be printed across the whole cover if you desire, and 4' should be enough. I'm afraid though that the proportions are such that should you do the same with 13" wide prints, your book would have to be about 7' long when open. This would make for coffee-table size requirement of at least 8' wide (allow for some coffee). This may seem impractical at first, but if only you can work with Starck or Rogers and have a special 'architectural' coffee table designed for the book, I feel confident you'll be on to a winner, ther limited edition of which when installed in anyone's loft apartment will both bring enjoyment and pleasure to the owner. Perhaps we could look forward to an installation in the central hall of the new Tate (if the coffee table is abstract enough). Take care, and enjoy your trip! nij > -----Original Message----- > From: Dickbo [mailto:Dickbo@...] <snip> > Mind you anyone interested in learning new things could always buy my book > > "How to produce the worlds most beautiful Gicle's using a Canon > EOS 3 and an > Epson A3+ printer" > > It's a long title I know but then it will be a long book, like > A3+ in size.
