Thanks Paul! Sorry, I am quite the newbie at this. I should have checked the advanced settings in the print dialog. I can *save* even papers that are, say 100x100 inches, the driver does not complain. I have no paper yet, so can't test if the 44" limit would pop up when i actually press "print".
