It's always safest to flush, but I'd probably just stick the MIS inks in there and clean.  I've had Eboni-6(4) and Claria (Noritsu) inks in the 1400 for extended periods and never noticed evidence of compatibility problems.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
