Re: [Digital BW] Plugged heads on 2400!

2011-12-12 by Le Globe Trotteur

Steve, I had the same problem with a 2200 that had stayed in a garage in a plastic tub for a very long time. After a lot of cleanings with purges, windex and a special cartridge and cleaning product, I still had a gap in the magenta. If I printed in high quality, the gap would not show up in the prints. After months of printing, I just realized that it got unclogged by itself. I had stop trying to unclog it a long time ago.
I would try to put some paper towels soaked in windex and move the heads on top of it. Put some windex on the pads and let it sit overnight.

Has anyone replaced heads on a 2400? Mine sat for a year unused and the heads are pretty well plugged. I have got some cleared but K is pretty bad. I don't know how much Epson charges for heads.
