First, the carts -- I've changed both the Epson and MIS cart positions with this 1400, MIS chips have reset, and they all continue to coexist without any problem. Very nice. Second, one of the things I'm enjoying about having the Claria yellow ink in the printer is that I am experimenting with using a dusting of yellow, borderless, across the 13x19 paper on a first pass to control the extent and location of OBA blueness. I develop of fuzzy mask to account for registration issues and to blend the neutralized borders into the brighter/bluer image area. That, along with the brightness of the Red River metallic paper gives the images an inner light that is a bit beyond what we're accustomed to with a standard reflective paper print.
