Digital BW, The Print

Hi,

another strange thing,
I had to reinstall my system and after that my epson driver(for 1160) 
is doing weird things.
everytime I want to print something( I have saved a custom mode for 
Mis VM) and set everything the way it should be: 1440 dpi, paper 
type, etc... the printer prints always in the standard mode 360 dpi!!!
This never happened before! I go back set everything again manually 
and hit print and then again comes another fine art paper superfast 
out of the printer, useless 360 dpi.....
I have a lot of  important stuff to print over the weekend and really 
need some advice.
