Digital BW, The Print

I use the 2880 for both B&W and color.  The ABW mode works well, and its cold-neutra-warm standard settings can be customized easily with the Custom Settings alternative.  However, I have lately been using QTR in its quad2880 mode, assuming that less color pigment is used in achieving the desired "toning" of the print for a more archival print (due to the influence of Paul Roark).

In QTR I use the provided curves.  For papers with no curves provided I use the Ucmk-EenhMatte… curves and make any necessary corrections with a final Curves Layer in Photoshop.  I know, I know, I should be making my own curves, but hey, life is sometimes complicated enough.
